A Year of Change2024 was in many ways quite a challenging year for Made in Ross as it involved two moves (one to the Corn Exchange for the duration of the Market House renovations and then the move back to the Market House once renovations were completed). This involved a lot of hard work for our members (as well as our wonderful volunteer helpers) but all the effort was worthwhile as we are now back in the Market House with a totally revamped layout which looks bright and welcoming for our visitors.
2024 was also a year of change as we said goodbye to the following members: Gabriel Parfitt, Eleanor Kercher, Rosie Callinan and Frances Warren. Eleanor, Frances and Rosie were instrumental in establishing the cooperative and its gallery, being founder members. With support from the Ross Town Council and The Courtyard Trust, their efforts have enabled local artists to showcase and sell their work, fostering a thriving artistic community. As we say goodbye (or should that be au revoir?) to Eleanor, Rosie and Frances, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for their enormous dedication and hard work and wish them all the very best in their future creative endeavours. 2024 also saw the arrival of three new artists and makers to Made in Ross, Mike Lawrence (aka The Humble Woodshed), Caroline Davies and Rana Dekki. All 3 have already made a substantial contribution to the co-operative and have added further variety to our range of diverse arts and crafts. In early 2025 we will be welcoming 2 new members (more information to follow soon). 2025 is also our 10 Year Anniversary so we have an exciting year ahead to celebrate this milestone! Made in Ross is open from 10.00 - 4.00 most days of the year and when you visit, one of our artists will be there to steward the gallery and share insights about this wonderful, historic building. We thank everyone who supported us in 2024 and look forward to welcoming visitors (old and new) in 2025.
