Ranging from the garden Robin to the Kingfishers on the River Wye here at
Made in Ross we celebrate the variety of birds found in our gardens and in the
surrounding countryside. From watercolours to acrylics to ironwork and glass made in ross artists develop their inspirations to create 2 and 3D arts and crafts for everyone to enjoy.
Remember winter can be a difficult time for all wildlife.
Temperatures plummet and food becomes difficult to find.
Insect-eating birds turn to alternative foods, some species travel far and wide,
and foraging behaviour adapts, but we can lend a helping hand by providing a welcome source of extra food for birds to turn to in leaner times.

Ian was born in Edgware, Middlesex in 1953. He originally trained as a Graphic designer in Hertfordshire. After working in-house for a variety of organisations based in London, he established his own freelance design business.
His first love, however, is painting, particularly urban and rural landscapes that reflect the unique atmosphere of town and countryside through the seasons. Having fallen in love with Herefordshire, moving there in 2017, Ian has produced a collection of landscapes of the area.
He states....‘Herefordshire isn’t simply blessed with rolling countryside, it has an ancient charm that is a gem for artists to explore.’
Ian works from his own photographs and paints in both watercolour and acrylic. With a versatile approach to composition, largely as a result of training in graphic design, he also takes commissions for portraits of people and pets and is more than happy to consider any subject.
Follow the Herefordshire Art Trail from September 8th thru' to September 16th. Made in Ross can be found in the South Area Trail under Venue 43.
Visit the Market House to find lots of new and exciting Arts and Crafts from over 14 Artists. Open everyday from 10 til 5.00.
Mike Swash - Nature Photographer
I learnt the basics of photography in my teens at a night-school club and continued into my twenties as a semi-professional wedding photographer. Photography then took a back seat as I became involved in bringing up a family and pursuing a career in Mathematics and Computing, until in the 1990's computing and photography came together with the advent of digital.
Since then Nature Photography has been my major interest. I firmly believe every photographer should aspire to the production of good prints from his/her work and my particular pleasure and speciality is printing on canvas.
Exhibition open daily 10.00 - 4.00 from June 2nd through to June 29th
